ABOUT US

For generations, the Gross family has built a trusted reputation for advocating on behalf of residential and commercial property owners. Today, third-generation public insurance adjuster Marc Gross and his son, David Gross, a fourth-generation public insurance adjuster, proudly continue the family legacy. Together, they provide trusted guidance, expert representation, and personalized service to homeowners and business owners throughout San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside Counties, as well as the Inland Empire and Desert communities.

Marc Gross, CEO and owner of Claims, Incorporated, is a third-generation public insurance adjuster. Marc’s family history in the industry began with his grandfather, Abe Mackey, co-founder of Midwest Fire Adjusters, now known as Globe Midwest – Adjusters International. Marc began his career with Midwest before relocating to San Diego in 1975, and has spent the past 50 years representing policyholders with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maximizing insurance claim settlements.

Throughout his career, Marc has successfully handled many of Southern California’s largest residential and commercial property insurance claims. His clients have included businesses such as Byrom Machine, Walker Wood Products, Vine Ripe Market, Wrigley’s Market, China Max Restaurant, and The Butcher Shop restaurant. He has also represented franchise owners for nationally recognized brands including 7-Eleven, Wendy’s, Swensen’s Ice Cream, IHOP and Hooters.

Working alongside his father, David Gross proudly represents the fourth generation of the Gross family in the public insurance adjusting profession. Together, Marc and David combine generations of knowledge with a personalized approach to helping homeowners and business owners navigate the often-complex insurance claims process. Their shared commitment to integrity, expertise, and client advocacy ensures every policyholder receives the representation they deserve. At Claims, Incorporated, our mission is simple: to protect the interests of our clients, maximize their insurance claim settlements, and continue the Gross family tradition of exceptional public insurance adjusting services for generations to come.

FIRE AND WATER

While insurance policies were created to protect against fire loss, we often hear that the water caused more damage than the fire. This is often true. Water can lead to mold, deterioration of bonding materials, damage from excessive weight, and, depending on the source of the water, hazardous contamination.

Navigating a fire loss claim involves many challenges. Among those challenges are understanding construction, interpreting the insurance policy, and, most importantly, knowing how the claims process works.

VANDALISM

Vandalism claims can be tricky in that they require different protocols than fire claims. There must be a police report, and that report needs to be consistent with the damages caused by the incident.

In addition, most policies have limitations or exclusions if the property was vacant or unoccupied for a period of time. Perhaps the greatest challenge is proving that the damages are not the result of normal wear and tear.

THEFT

Similar to vandalism, theft claims present challenges that are different from fire claims.

In most fire claims, the property is still there to be inspected. Because there is no property for the insurance company to inspect in a theft claim, it becomes important to prove that you owned the stolen property.

This can be done with photos, receipts, affidavits, or other types of documentation. There also needs to be a police report that mirrors the damage assessment.

Business Interruption

Business interruption losses can be devastating to a company’s financial stability. When a covered event forces your business to temporarily close or significantly reduces operations, business interruption insurance may provide compensation for lost income, continuing operating expenses, payroll, and other financial losses. Our experienced team works exclusively for policyholders to ensure every covered loss is properly documented, evaluated, and pursued so you receive the full benefits you are entitled to under your policy.
